Look For Packers To Replace Tonyan

Written by Seth Lockard

Robert Tonyan has been officially placed on injured reserve after tearing his ACL during Thursday Night Football.

The NFL trade deadline is today at 4 EST. That means teams are moving fast today trying to fix holes in their roster. Especially teams that will be looking to make deep playoff runs. The Packers are one of those teams and with Tonyan done for the year, they need to find a new tight end. It has been reported that the Packers have been actively looking into guys like Jacob Hollister, Hayden Hurst and Evan Engram.

Evan Engram would be the guy that I would go for. He’s shown flashes throughout this season with the Giants that he can get open and get out and run in open space. Engram has always been a decent security blanket for Daniel Jones but imagine him being a security blanket for one of the greatest of all time, that would be something else.

Expect Engram to be moved today and the Packers are the likely suitors.
