Written by Nate

The National Football League is about to reveal their schedule for the 2023 regular season with the Kansas City Chiefs opening up at Arrowhead Stadium for the Kickoff Game in early September.

There has been many options on who will be the defending Super Bowl champions coming up, and it is rumored that it’s a surprise team that will be in the national spotlight.

Via a couple users on Twitter, the Chiefs may end up playing the Detroit Lions on September 7. Here is the post from user @LionsRoyalty.

The rumored matchup would make a great game and storyline as both teams finished off the 2022 regular season strong and look poised to continue their momentum streaks. Detroit finished with a 9-8 record and a young, improving roster with playoff upside, while the Chiefs went 14-3 before clinching the Super Bowl.

The post above will make it seem like the game is confirmed, but all football fans know it won’t be official until the league reveals their full schedule Thursday night.
