Lions Tight End Josh Hill Retires, Team Brings In Former Lions Tight End Darren Fells For A Visit

Newly signed tight end Josh Hill is retiring according to Dave Birkett. Hill signed with the Lions over the offseason after spending his whole career with the Saints. Hill is suddenly retiring and now the Lions need a new tight end. Former Lions tight end, Darren Fells is visiting the team tonight. Fells spent one season in Detroit, in 2017, that season Fells caught for 177 yards and three touchdowns. Fells is coming off his best two years, catching for eight touchdowns and 662 yards over the last two seasons combined. Fells would be a good second option behind T.J. Hockenson and would create for a nice one-two punch.
