Lakers acquiring Denzel Valentine from Cavaliers for Rajon Rondo, who will be waived

The Los Angeles Lakers are agreeing to the trade to send Rajon Rondo to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In return, they will acquire Denzel Valentine in the trade. However, it is not going to be a long-term stay for Valentine with the Lakers, as he is expected to be waived.

Rondo’s role with the lakers diminished over time, as he only played in 18 games this season. With the season-ending injury to Ricky Rubio, the Cavaliers need for Rondo increased and he was thrilled at the chance to go to Cleveland.
