The Philadelphia Phillies had a incredible post season run last year, but in the end, the Houston Astros them in the World Series.

Phillies outfielder Kyle Schwarber Says he and his teammates are far from satisfied with just how the way their season ended.

“Definitely a little chip,” Schwarber said at the Phillies’ spring training complex in Clearwater, Florida. “It’s not like we’re happy with how it ended.

“So I think there’s a chip on our shoulder, but I also think it’s a little exciting, too, because we know where we can go.”

Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski bolstered the roster this off-season in an effort to give his team a fighting chance to pull off another run to the World Series.

The Phillies signed All Star shortstop Trea Turner to add to a already talented starting lineup. They made multiple bullpen additions to strengthen what was a weakness last year.

In his first season in Philadelphia, Schwarber produced a career-best and a National League-leading 46 home runs last season in addition to six more in the postseason.

The Phillies expect their star player Bryce Harper back from his Tommy John surgery by early July. His return will give them a big boost for the second half of the season.
