Golladay is going into the final year of his rookie contract. He now has two 1,000 yard seasons and is seeking a new contract before the season starts. When asked today on a Lions video call about his contract Golladay said “As of right now, I can only control what I can control, I want to be here. Really, I’m just gonna let my agent and front office take care of that. I’m pretty sure something will get done.”

Golladay backtracked his statement, saying he’s “hopeful” that a deal will get done but “hasn’t heard anything so far.”

Kenny Golladay broke out last season, catching for 1,190 yards and leading the league in touchdowns with 11 on his way to his first pro bowl. What made it his play even more impressive, he did a lot of that with backup quarterbacks. As a Lions fan, please Bob Quinn don’t mess this up and give the man an extension! Just to remind everyone how good he is watch those 2019 highlights below.
