Kansas Jayhawks Fans Throw Goal Post Into Lake After Upset Win Over Oklahoma

The Kansas Jayhawks upset the sixth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners 38-33 today. Kansas fans stormed the field removed one of the goal posts from David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

The fans than left the stadium with the goal post and marched it down the street to Potter Lake, where they tossed it into the water.

This was the Kansas football program’s first win over Oklahoma since 1997. The Jayhawks secured bowl eligibility for the second straight year and now have 6 wins on the season.

It’s going to be a big party night in Lawrence, Kansas tonight. The fans got it started as soon as the game ended.
