Kansas City Chiefs Must Play Without Star Player Tonight; Patrick Mahomes COVID-19 Update

Written by Chris Powers

On tonight’s edition of Thursday Night Football, the Kansas City Chiefs will be taking on the division rival the Los Angeles Chargers. With that said, the Chiefs have a long list of injuries and players that will not be appearing in the game this evening. You can check out the list below to see who will be missing from tonight’s game. The Chiefs aren’t the only ones missing some star power tonight as Chargers running back Austin Ekeler is sidelined with an ankle injury.

Just an update on Patrick Mahomes, back in April he received his COVID-19 vaccination. Mahoney has also been very vocal about his unvaccinated teammates wearing masks to prevent further outbreak among the team. This is what he had to say on the matter below:

“Don’t let it become a distraction,” Mahomes told reporters via Zoom on the opening day of training camp. “We’re trying to do whatever we can to win. If you’re not vaccinated, just try to just be smart. “Wear your mask, try to limit your interactions with other people that aren’t vaccinated, and try to make sure that you’re ready to go whenever it’s game time,” Mahomes said.
