When you are talking most valuable player Julius Randle comes to mind. What would this Knicks’ team be without Randle, he is averaging 23 pts, 11 Rebs, 6 asts, and was named to his first All-start team this year. Tonight he has 35 points with six minutes to go in the third quarter.
I know, the Knicks are barely .500 but they are relevant again. That is what matters the most when the Knicks are good the NBA is good. If I have said it once I’ve said it million times they bring in the most money to the NBA out of any other team so it is important when the Knicks are good.
The leap Julius has taken this year is remarkable and obviously well documented. For a player in their seventh season to make this jump speaks to the person that he is. He certainly is the heart and soul of this team and a very important building block for the overall future of this team.
New York is not the easiest place to play and this city hated him last year but now they love him. Julius embodies what New York is about, we don’t back down, we get back up and most important we fight. Julius I thank you for making this Knicks season fun to watch no matter what happens. It is fun to root for a Knicks team that is competes every night.
