Jon Moxley To Work Show In Middle East

Written by Jameus Mooney

Despite being signed to All Elite Wrestling, former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley has the ability to work anywhere else in his contract as long as it doesn’t interfere with his AEW obligations. He is the current US Champion for NJPW and has worked shows such as GCW’s Bloodsport.

His next Independent date is confirmed, as he will be working for Qatar Pro Wrestling. QPW, which one can watch on Fite TV, has run a total of 13 events since 2013. It’s the only wrestling promotion in the Middle East. They also have a working relationship with OVW.

Their most recent show, February 21st, saw former WWE Champions Rob Van Dam and Alberto Del Rio compete. Their next show will also feature a former WWE Champion as Moxley won the championship in 2016 under the name “Dean Ambrose.” It is the third annual QPW Superslam event, which will feature a number of former WWE Champions alongside of Moxley, including the aforementioned Del Rio and Van Dam, as well as Kevin Nash, who won the championship as “Diesel” in 1994. Former World Heavyweight Champions The Great Khali and Mark Henry are also set for the card.

AEWs Brian Cage, Sammy Guevara, Matt Sydal, Luchasaurus and The Lucha Bros are also advertised alongside their coworker Moxley. Ethan Carter III, Chris Masters, Enzo Amore, Carlito, Epico, Rich Swann and PJ Black are other former WWE talent advertised.
