Jets Head Coach Robert Saleh told the team on Wednesday morning that Zach Wilson would not be starting for the Jets on Sunday against the Bears, as per ESPN.com.

Wilson was awful in a 10-3 loss to the Patriots this past week and then answered “no” when he was asked if he felt like he let the defense down afterward. He completed just nine of 22 passes for 77 yards, and frustration was clearly bubbling over in the Jets locker room after the game.

Mike White had recently been elevated to the Jets’ backup spot ahead of Joe Flacco, though it is unclear who Saleh plans to start.

Wilson had been 5-2 as a starting QB this season, though most of the credit belongs to the Jets defense.
