New York Jet’s Offensive Tackle, Mekhi Becton will now miss the entire 2022 season du to a chip fracture in his right kneecap.

Becton was drafted 11th overall in the 2020 and is still under contract or 2023, due to make a guaranteed $3.1 Million in the final of his rookie deal. Still seeking outside medical opinions but it is worth to note that this will be his second surgery in the last 11 months on his right knee.

“Everything happens for a reason…I know God and my Grandma got me up there I JUST KNOW IT! TRUST!#IMSTILLHIM #4GK,” Becton posted to Instagram.

To fill the role, the Jet’s are in talked with free agent Duane Brown. The former Seattle Seahawk and five time Pro Bowler will turn 37 this August. Brown Visited the Jets and was in “Phenomenal shape” says GM Joe Douglas.

After passing on multiple top Lineman in the draft the Jet’s will now have to scramble to find a replacement for Becton.
