I think everyone can agree that when Jason Witten retired a couple of years ago and then he was hired to be in the booth that he’d be successful in the booth. Well… that was wrong. No one enjoyed listening to what Witten had to say during broadcasts and then Witten decided that he was going to retire from announcing and go back to professional football.
After playing this past season, Witten, once again announced his retirement. But what I’ll say it, thankfully, he’s no longer going to be in the booth. He’s not retiring from the NFL to end up in the booth. Instead he’s retiring and will be coaching High School football.
Liberty Christian School in Texas named recently-retired TE Jason Witten as its new head football coach.

Good for Witten.
And to be fair, most importantly, good for our entertainment and ears.
