One player of the Green Bay Packers’ running back trio last season is appearing to be staying in the NFC North.
Via Tom Peliserro of the NFL Network, Jamaal Williams is signing with division rival Detroit Lions to a two year-deal. The deal is set for $7.5 million.
In his four years with Green Bay, Williams tallied up almost 2,000 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. He also has recorded eight touchdown catches for 961 yards.
Like Aaron Jones and AJ Dillion last season, the former fourth round pick in 2017 will be forming up another running back trio within the division as they have backs in second-year player D’Andre Swift and Kerryon Johnson.
A perfect compliment for both backs listed and another weapon used for new Lions offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn.
