Jacksonville Jaguars WR Zay Jones was arrested for Domestic Battery, as per ESPN.
Jones was arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Duval County Jail at 6:03 p.m. ET on a charge of domestic battery causing bodily harm, a first-degree misdemeanor.
The Jaguars released the following statement in response to the arrest:
“We are aware of the situation and are in the midst of gathering information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
Jones signed as a free agent with the Jaguars last year. He had 823 receiving yards and five touchdowns in his first season in Jacksonville. Jones has played in just three games this season after initially injuring his knee against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2.
This season, Jones with a right knee injury. He has five catches for 55 yards and a touchdown.
