Jaguars to interview ex-Texans HC Bill O’Brien for head coaching job

Bill O’Brien is trying to get back in the NFL and is set to interview format least one head coaching job.

O’Brien, who is the current offensive coordinator for Alabama, will interview for the Jacksonville Jaguars head coaching job next week.

The interview is next week considering O’Brien is coaching Alabama in the National Championship Game on Monday against Georgia.

Before coaching at Alabama, O’Brien spent six seasons as the head coach of the Houston Texans, posting a 52-48 record before he got fired in 2020 after an 0-4 record. O’Brien was briefly the Texans general manager too and infamously traded DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for David Johnson, a trade that may go down as one of the worst ever in the NFL.

The Jaguars have interviewed Doug Pederson for the job and are also going to interview Kellen Moore and Byron Leftwich as well.
