The Jacksonville Jaguars are preparing for life after Urban Meyer and are prepared to interview candidates for his now former job.
First up is former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson.
The 53-year-old former Eagles head coach has spent the last year away from football after getting fired by Philadelphia after a 4-11 season. Things between Pederson and the Eagles broke down to the point where it cost Pederson his job.
Pederson lead the Eagles to their first Super Bowl championship back in 2017, which was why his firing was seen as a major surprise.
With the Eagles, Pederson went 42-37-1 in the regular season and went 4-2 in the postseason.
He is one of several candidates that Jacksonville will look at; they’re reportedly interested in Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell and both Dallas Cowboys coordinators; offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
