It was a WILD night in LA for the Angels!

As most of us know, the Los Angeles Angels were on a 14-game losing streak. During that losing streak, they fired their Manager, Joe Maddon, and they were forced to listen to Nickelback, for every at-bat. However, their losing streak is over and Saturday night’s game with the Mets, proved be a WILD ONE!


Jared Walsh ended up coming up big for the Angels, by hitting for the cycle Saturday night. Walsh’s cycle was only the 9th in the history of the Angels, and first since Shohei Ohtani did it in 2019. Walsh helped spark the team to a nice victory, while driving in 3 runs. But, he wasn’t the only Angels player to have a BIG night. Ohtani went 3 for 4, with a BIG home run to right-center field.

Mike Trout, who missed three games due to right groin tightness, helped power a five-homer onslaught for the Angels. It is the second time they have gone deep five times this season. Trout crushed 2 home runs and the fans went wild, since he had not been playing due to injury. Needless to say, the loyal Angels fans are glad to see him healthy.

The Angels looked to have plenty of momentum after Reid Detmers’ no-hitter against Tampa Bay on May 10, but Saturday marked only their eighth win in the past 29 games. However, things are looking up for the Angels since they fired Maddon. So far, interim Manager, Phil Nevin, is off
