Isaiah Thomas to sign a 10-day contract with the Dallas Mavericks

Isaiah Thomas already got a chance to play this season. Now he’s going to get a second shot at playing for an NBA team.

Thomas will sign a 10-day contract with the Dallas Mavericks.

Thomas initially signed a 10-day contract with the Lakers and played in four games for them, averaging 9.3 points with them before they decided to not re-new his deal.

Thomas though, hadn’t played in months aside from his game in the NBA’s G-League and looked impressive. Im is debut back in the NBA for the Lakers, Thomas scored 19 points and looked like a legit scoring threat, but struggled in the other games he appeared in.

Because of COVID-19 hitting the NBA hard, it’s forced teams to give 10-day hardship contracts to players like Thomas, who is taking full advantage of the second chance in the league.
