Believe it or not, what you are about to witness in the video below was filmed nearly ten years ago in 2012.

Felix Baumgartner is a well known base jumper and skydiver from Austria. He is best known for jumping to Earth from a helium balloon from the stratosphere on 14 October 2012 and landing in New Mexico, United States as part of the Red Bull Stratos project. Doing so, he set world records for skydiving an estimated 39 km (24 mi), reaching an estimated top speed of 1,357.64 km/h (843.6 mph), or Mach 1.25.

The mere thought of jumping from outer space is absolutely astounding to me. I’m not sure where I’ve been over the past decade, but o really didn’t even know that this was a thing. If you have not seen this before, you are going to want to check out the video below. As someone who is not particular fond of heights, this gives me chills of epic proportions.
