IMPACT Wrestling’s next event, “Sacrifice” is going down, this evening from the Davis Arena in Louisville, Kentucky, LIVE on Pay-Per-View. The show is headlined by IMPACT World Champion, Tessa Blanchard going up against X-Division Champion, Ace Austin in a non-title, Champion vs Champion match.
Let’s get into that match as well as the rest of the card…
Champion vs Champion Match – Tessa Blanchard (IMPACT World Champion) vs Ace Austin (X-Division Champion)
Preview – Back at “Bound For Glory” in October, 2019, Ace Austin captured the X-Division Championship in a Ladder-Match against Tessa Blanchard & 3 other competitors which started this rivalry. Since then, Tessa went on the become the 1st female in company history to hold the World Championship & Ace Austin has defended the X-Division Championship against Trey Miguel at “Hard to Kill” (the same PPV that Tessa won the World Title). Ace has a very unique style & is terrific in the ring & Tessa has consistently performed in the biggest matches of her career & this will be no different.
Prediction – Tessa Blanchard Wins
Singles Match – Moose vs Rhino
Preview – Moose defeated Rhino in a no-DQ match back at “Hard to Kill”, last month. This feud is IMPACT’s version of WWE’s Roman Reigns vs Bard Corbin feud. We have NO idea why it’s still going on, but the company apparently thinks that it’s a good idea to do so. They can’t have Moose lose to many-years-passed-his-prime, Rhino, so the result of this one seems to be all but certain.
Prediction – Moose Wins
IMPACT Knockouts Championship – Jordynne Grace (C) vs Havok
Preview – Earlier this month, Jordynne Grace won the IMPACT Knockouts Championship & in the process, ended Taya Valkyrie’s record-breaking reign. Havok returned to the company in the Summer of 2019 & hasn’t really rekindled the flame she once had. Will she turn her fortunes around, against the current Women’s Champion, tonight?
Prediction – Jordynne Grace Wins
Singles Match – Daga vs Jake Crist
Preview – Ever since joining IMPACT, this time, last year, Daga has been a joy to watch. He’s so versatile & consistent, while his opponent, Jake Crist is one of the most consistently good performers on the roster. The winner of this could very easily find himself in an X-Division Title match against Ace Austin in the not-too distant future. Should be a fun one.
Prediction – Daga Wins
IMPACT Tag-Team Championship Match – The North (C) vs The Rascalz
Preview – This match has all the tools & the participants involved to be the match of the night. 4 of the most consistent performers on the roster & couple that with IMPACT’s willingness to give them the proper freedom & time to do whatever they want, we have a terrific match on our hands.
Prediction – The North Retains
Tag-Team Match – Mad Man Fulton & Dave Crist vs Larry D & Ace Romero
Preview – Fulton & Crist have a ton of untapped potential while Larry & Ace were signed after one of these specials that IMPACT likes to hold in-between their major-PPV’s. This should be a fun one.
Prediction – Larry D & Ace Romero Win
Singles Match – Joey Ryan vs Johnny Swinger
Preview – This is a pure-comedy match for the live audience to enjoy. This will be a quick one.
Prediction – Joey Ryan Wins
Singles Match – Willie Mack vs Jay Bradley
Preview – This has squash match written all over it. Should be a nice, little showcase for Willie Mack.
