I didn’t give Bad Bunny a fair chance. I wanted to hate him the moment he showed up on my TV screen. Part of it is probably because I’m getting older and I wasn’t aware with what a pop culture phenomenon he is. Maybe it’s because I didn’t like the idea of feeling so out of touch with today’s music scene, so I immediately assumed the worst about this guy.

But then he got in the ring at Wrestlemania.

And he freaking killed it.

Now listen, I’m not going to sit here and pretend that he did it all on his own. Sure, both the Miz and Morrison certainly helped carry him through the match, but Bad Bunny did things better in the ring in his debut match than many of the full-time roster members do each and every week. For starters, Bunny sold moves he took like a champ!

Second, the moves he was pulling off like the Canadian Destroyer and Falcon Arrow were near flawless for a debut match. Bad Bunny definitely put in the work prior to WrestleMania. Unlike many others who simply phone it in, but Bunny proved he respects the hell out of this business, trained hard, gave it his all, and put on a damn entertaining match.

This may be unpopular opinion, but I think Ronda Rousey still holds the record for the greatest WrestleMania debut of all time. But that is in no way a slight to Bad Bunny. He is definitely a very close second. Bad Bunny proved himself worth of stepping foot in the ring tonight at WrestleMania, and as far as I’m concerned, at this point, I wouldn’t mind seeing him on my TV each and every week.

I owe you an apology Bad Bunny. You’re alright in my book. But I still think your music sucks.
