I’m not sure if this is intentional or a glitch, but there is a way to get 2 copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War for only $9.99 each.

If you’re looking to buy the game at this discounted price, unfortunately, you need to have a friend who already has the $59.99 standard edition for Xbox.

That person who already owns the standard edition then needs to go to the Xbox Store and select the $69.99 Cross-Gen Bundle. For the next 20 days there is a deal that you can upgrade from the Standard Edition to the Cross-Gen Bundle for only $9.99.

Microsoft has a feature in their store to buy as a gift. So select “buy as a gift” and you’ll see that it is still only $9.99 because essentially you’re buying the upgraded version, but for someone else.

As you can see, the $69.99 is crossed out and it shows the discounted price of $9.99. You can do this TWICE, gifting two games for a total price of $20.

You’ll select who you want to send it to, either a friend you have on Xbox or an email address and they will receive a code to redeem their copy of the game.

If you have friends that are game sharing, you can get even more copies of the game. For example, you buy the $60 standard edition and game share with someone, essentially $30 each. You gift the $10 upgraded version to a friend who is also game sharing with someone so they pay FIVE DOLLARS each. You gift it again to a friend who is game sharing with someone, so they also pay $5 each. That’s a total of 6 copies of the game for only $80!
