Houston Rockets gets a quality coach by hiring the controversial Ime Udoka

Former Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka has been hired by the Houston Rockets to replace Stephen Silas. The 45-year-old was suspended by the Celtics for the entire 2022-2023 season due to having an inappropriate relationship with a fellow employee during his time in the organization.

The ‘consensual intimate relationship’ between Udoka and the former Celtics employee violated several policies within the organization. Udoka still remains respected by his peers despite his infamous affair. He led Boston to a finals appearance in 2022.

The controversy he was involved with blew up as he was engaged with gorgeous actress Nia Long for several years. The couple also shared one child.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson approved of the hiring of Udoka and praised the Rockets for the bold move.

The Houston Rockets finished the season with a 22-60 record. They will have a shot at drafting French unicorn Victor Wembanyama in this year’s upcoming NBA draft.

Udoka played seven years in the league and has a career average of 5.2 PPG, 2.9 RPG and 1.0 APG.
