Eva Marie is returning to WWE. Well, she has returned to WWE. Or wait, she will return.
Heck, I don’t know. It was rumored back in late 2020 that she was on her way back to the company. Yet, nothing happened for months of her being spotted at the WWE Performance Center. What was she doing? Who knows? Either way, promos have finally begun airing on WWE RAW to hype up her re-appearance. We are going with the fun “Evalution” tagline I suppose. Kinda cool, kinda clever. Not going to lie.
However, the question remains – what is she going to do? I mean, Eva Marie has never been about in-ring wrestling abilities. That is for sure. She never needed to be Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, or Sasha Banks. Wrestling a classic in a high profile WrestleMania spot was never her calling anyways. Eva Marie would be the first to admit that. Now in the full swing of things promoting the women as strong, powerful and equals as Superstars, I ask again. What is Eva Marie going to do?
According to Fightful Select, her comeback will NOT be about wrestling after all. Shocking, I know. According to the report, she will be there to help ‘get over’ another female talent. Interesting. Sounds like a manager type. Maybe a valet of some sort? Just guessing here. The story adds that her return was being worked on for a long time. No surprise there. Her name had been thrown around for months now, so it wasn’t a total ball buster to see her return promo pop up on television a few weeks ago.
I’m all for it to be honest. As I mentioned, her wrestling a five minute match each week is NOT where she will shine through. There is a reason why this Youtube clip has attracted more than 45 million views…
