Harry Giles Is Leaving The Kings

Written by Will

This comes as no surprise because the Kings declined his player option at the beginning of last season. Harry Giles has plenty of potential. This kid was the number one high school player in the country at one point. Ranked higher than Jayson Tatum, Bam Adebayo, and De’Aaron Fox. He was considered the best player in the country but injuries derailed his career. He tore his ACL, MCL, and Meniscus after his freshman year, and then his ACL in his other leg his senior year.

He had issues staying healthy in his first few seasons but last year he played in 46 games, starting 17 of them. In 14 minutes of play per game, he averaged 6.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Last season he proved he still has the potential to be a good NBA player. He’s only 22 years old and if he can stay healthy, he has a spot in this league.

A team has been rumored to want Giles is the Celtics. That would be perfect for Giles. One of his best friends and his former Duke teammate Jayson Tatum is a star for the Celtics and would be coached by Brad Stevens. That’s a good fit for a player trying to find his place in the NBA. If you have never seen Giles high school highlights you are missing out, he was unstoppable. Do yourself a favor and check these out.
