Philadelphia Phillies Edge-Rusher Haason Reddick was traded to the New York Jets for a 2026 third-round pick that can become a second-round pick if specific terms are met.

Reddick took to social media today to thank the city of Philadelphia for their support.

The Eagles signed Reddick as a free agent in 2022. He went on to help lead the Eagles to an NFC Championship and a Super Bowl berth in his first season.

Reddick was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and had a total of 27 sacks in his two years with the Eagles.

The 29 year-old Reddick was about to enter the final year of his contract. The Eagles went on to make a few a moves that appeared to signal the end of Reddick’s time in Philadelphia.

The Eagles signed Edge-Rusher Bryce Huff on day one of free agency and restructured the contract of DE Josh Sweat.
