Herbert went out for one play, before returning to the game. On the next play back, Frank Clark hit Herbert hard. Herbert got up slowly from that hit. Herbert stayed in for the rest of the game, even though he was in obvious pain.

Herbert completed 33 of 48 passes for 334 yards and threw 3 touchdown passes with 1 interception, in the Chargers 27-24 loss to the Chiefs.

After the game, Justin Herbert was getting X-rays on his ribs, as per Charissa Thompson.
