In a post by Jack Hall of the Radio Results Network, Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer is making a stop in the Upper Peninsula during the week of the 2021 UP State Fair, held later this month.

Labeled and mentioned as a ‘non-political event,’ Hall said the luncheon/gathering is held for local businesses and residents to interact with the Governor and hear her thoughts (and possible solutions) regarding critical issues that involve the Delta County, the U.P., and throughout the rest of the state.

Even though the fair was cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the luncheon is organized every year as part of the fair’s festivities. It will be held on Thursday, August 19 (Honored Citizens Day) starting at 11 am located at the fair’s Activities Tent.

Cost to attend the luncheon is $20, and that includes gate admission and lunch. Tickets must be bought in advance and can be ordered online at deltami.org.
