Much like Win Total Wednesday, Future Friday will consist of a team I think could win the national championship or their conference. What’s fun about future bets and win total bets is it gives you a team to root for or against all season. With that said let’s get into the first Future Friday.

Give me the Oklahoma Sooners to win the national championship at +650. Spender Rattler is a Heisman favorite. A stud QB is always important. But more importantly for OU is the defense. For the first time in the college football playoff era, Oklahoma has a defense that is comparable to not only the other top defenses in the big 12, but top defense is in the country. This defensive factor, in my opinion is what gives Oklahoma a legitimate chance to be a national title team this year.

On top of Oklahoma being good I think you were going to see some major setbacks with the other top-tier universities. Starting with Alabama, six players drafted in the first round, all of those star studded players that they had last year that made them so dominant are gone. Now this is not to say Alabama won’t have a good year, because they always do but by Alabama standards this might not be the best team meaning they might lose two games. Next off you have Ohio state who similarly to Alabama has lost so many key and important players to the draft and my face similar setbacks like I mentioned with Alabama. And lastly this applies to Clemson as well losing Trevor Lawrence one of the best college football quarterbacks we’ve ever seen amongst many other players, we cannot expect that Clemson Alabama and Ohio State have the same success they had last year.

Official Pick: Oklahoma Natty Champs +650. Positive vibes only.
