From the “Only in Florida” Files – Shoplifting Couple Gets Freaky in Police Car

Written by Brad Shepard

A Florida police officer is in hot water for letting a couple of young loving shoplifters get it on in the back of his patrol car.

23-year-old Zachery Moellendick (heavy emphasis on the ‘dick’) and 24-year-old Krista Leigh were at Walmart doing what any couple does – allegedly shoplifting jewelry and a baby toy.

Fort Pierce Police Officer Doug McNeal was called to the scene, recovered the stolen items and placed both suspects under arrest.  That’s when things got weird.

Officer McNeal placed both suspects into the back of his patrol car, however Moellendick was not placed in handcuffs because he was on crutches.

On the way to the St. Lucie County Jail, apparently the couple couldn’t stand the thought of being away from each other, and they began… uhh, kissing and cuddling very close while Barry White’s “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love” played in the background.

The next thing you know, arms are moving up and down and all around, and it becomes clear they’re sexually pleasing each other in front of the cop, in the back of his patrol car.

This went on for about six minutes, and when they arrived at the jail, the couple asked Officer McNeal if they could smoke.  Not only were they allowed a post-release smoke, he told them to light one up in the patrol car.

Internal Affairs caught the entire incident on Officer McNeal’s in-car camera and suspended him without pay for 20 days for violating nine department policies.

McNeal told Internal Affairs he didn’t see any sexual activity, but he was fine with what he did see in the back of the patrol car.

Moellendick plead guilty to petty theft and trespassing and was released from the St. Lucie County Jail.  Leigh plead no contest to petty theft and was released from jail as well.
