Former WWE Superstar Michelle McCool Discusses Women in the WrestleMania Main Event

Written by Brad Shepard

Former WWE Superstar Michelle McCool told TMZ Sports that it was cool women would be the main event at WrestleMania this year, but she hopes they’re receiving equal pay.

She believes a main event is a main event and the pay should reflect that, regardless of gender.

McCool, a former two-time champion who’s married to The Undertaker, talked about her experiences as a female on the WWE roster.

She mentioned her and Layla fighting for weeks to get 10 minutes, including entrances, for her retirement match at Extreme Rules in 2011. She later returned to appear in the 2018 women’s Royal Rumble match and the women’s battle royal at Evolution, an all-women’s show.

She feels like this is happening now because the WWE Universe have finally demanded the women get the attention they deserve.

McCool believes the match will deliver, and it won’t be the last time women are the main event at WrestleMania.
