Retired UFC Lightweight Champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, has made it very clear that he is NOT returning to the octagon and will remain retired. Up until now, the public believed Khabib would stick to coaching his former training partners to UFC gold, however, he has other plans. It’s rumored that Khabib signed a contract with FC Legion Dynamo, a Russian third-tier soccer team, after they posted a photo of him signing on Instagram.
This isn’t Khabib’s first crack at a professional soccer career. He was previously offered a contract by another Russian third-tier team, FC Kamaz. “We offer you to make your football debut as part of our team. PFL is the football UFC… We play every match only to win and are an ambitious team with the task of entering the FNL,” read the statement.
From UFC Champion to soccer superstar? Khabib is an athlete through and through or he’s just super bored in Dagestan now that he’s not pounding someone’s face in. Imagine having to face Khabib after bodying him on the pitch? Absolutely terrifying.
Khabib has previously befriended soccer superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, and has played with AC Milan legendary midfielder, Clarence Seedorf.
