Former Raiders CB D.J. Hayden killed in collision near downtown Houston, as per Joseph Duarte.

Hayden was among six people killed when a car sped through a red light on Fannin Street near the Gulf Freeway around 2 a.m., according to a Houston Police Department report.

Hayden was a first-round draft pick by the Oakland Raiders in 2013, after starring collegiately at the University of Houston.

Hayden’s best season of his career came in 2015. He started 13 games for the Raiders. Hayden also played for the Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Commanders.

For his career, Hayden had 4 interceptions and recorded 328 combined tackles. Hayden was 33 years old.
