Former Phillies Player Done For Season With Achilles Injury

Former Philadelphia Phillies outfielder and current Pittsburgh Pirates player Andrew McCutchen suffered a partially torn Achilles tendon in his left leg and will be in a walking boot for at least six weeks, as per Justice delos Santos of MLB.com.

McCutchen played three years with the Phillies (2019-2021). In his final season with them, he hit 27 home runs and drove in 80 RBI.

McCutchen has a .256 batting average with 12 home runs and 43 RBI in 112 games this season with the Pirates.

The 36 year-old McCutchen is in his 15th season. He is a five-time All-Star and the 2013 NL MVP. McCutchen has 299 career home runs. He just recently collected his 2,000th career hit in June.
