Former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Matt Moore has been claimed off of waivers by the Miami Marlins, as per ESPN’s MLB Insider Jeff Passan.
Moore started off the year with the Los Angeles Angels after signing a one-year deal with them during the offseason
In five appearances with the Guardians, Moore had a 3.86 ERA after allowing two runs in 4 2/3 innings pitched. With the Angels, he appeared in 41 games with a ERA of 2.66 in 44 innings pitched.
The 34-year-old Moore was with the Phillies for the 2021 season. He signed a one-year deal with them. Moore finished the season with a 2–4 record and a 6.29 ERA.
Moore began his career with the Tampa Bay Rays. He has also played with the San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers throughout his career.
