Seattle Sonics and NBA legend Shawn Kemp has been booked into jail over an alleged drive-by shooting.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired in an altercation between the occupants of two vehicles in Tacoma just before 2 p.m. local time (5 p.m. ET).
The police say one car fled the scene and a gun was recovered, and that no injuries were reported.
The 53 year-old Kemp was booked for felony drive-by shooting – a Class B felony which carries up to a 10-year prison sentence.
Kemp was a six-time All-Star. He played in the NBA from 1990-2004, with the Sonics and Magic during his career.
