Former MLB Pitcher Trevor Bauer Accused Of Sexual Assault With A Knife

Written by Tony Ghaul

An Arizona woman is accusing a former MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer of sexual assault, according to a report from USA Today.

The report says that Bauer held a steak knife to the woman’s throat, choked her until she was unconscious, and got her pregnant in late 2020.

This was filed last December and is said to have been amended recently. Bauer had been accused of similar acts by three women prior to this one.

Bauer claims that the allegations are false. According to the his attorneys, Bauer had one consensual sexual encounter with the woman in December 2020 and said that the condom broke during intercourse.

The woman claimed to be pregnant and demanded a sum of $1.6 million to terminate the pregnancy. Bauer’s lawyers also claim that the player made an audio recording of her demands.

The 32-year-old Bauer was suspended by the MLB for two years in 2022, having already missed 111 games due to being placed on administrative leave by the MLB the previous year following accusations of sexual assault by another woman.

Bauer was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers before signing a one-year deal worth $4 million with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars in Japan.
