Former Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Matt Ulrich has died at 41, according to Colts owner Jim Irsay.

“I am heartbroken to hear of the passing of Matt Ulrich,” Irsay posted on Twitter/X on Wednesday morning. “Matt was with us only two seasons, but left his mark on many. Great guy, I hear he was a great dad—and he was a Super Bowl champ. My prayers to his family.”

Uirich was a reserve offensive lineman who played two seasons for the Colts, including the 2006 Super Bowl winning team.

Ulrich attended Northwestern and signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He played five games that season and played in five games in 2006.

Ulrich was the co-founder of Dexa Fit,[1] and was director of operations and sports performance at Winning Edge Athletics in Chicago.

Ulrich was married and the father of four boys. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
