Former Philadelphia Eagles star and current radio personality Hugh Douglas’ son was killed in a car crash in Georgia on Monday.
Hugh Douglas and Christion Files Jr., students at Morehouse College, were both killed in the crash, the school confirmed.
Douglas’ father, also named Hugh Douglas was a defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1998 to 2002. He was a first-round draft pick of the New York Jets in 1995 and played with them until 1997.
Douglas played one season with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2003 and then returned to the Eagles in 2004 for his final NFL season.
Douglas was inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame. He was a a three-time Pro Bowler and was the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1995.
Douglas is currently the co-host of “The Midday Show” on 94.1 WIP. He confirmed his son’s death on his radio show on Tuesday morning.
