Jon Rahm is the 2023 Masters winner. He got off to a very bad start on Thursday as he four-putted for a double-bogey.
However, he recovered strongly enough to beat out the likes of Brooks Koepka, Phil Mikelson, and Russell Henley to come out on top, becoming the first player to win said tournament after starting with a double-bogey since Sam Snead in 1952.
Rahm said that he got a text from former Eagles and current Cardinals TE Zach Ertz that said ‘That first green is looking like a walk in the park right now’ 10 minutes before I four-putted to start the tournament,” he joked during his victory speech. “So thank you Zach. Don’t ever do that again, please.”
Ertz took to Twitter to respond, letting Rahm know he will continue to text him before games.
