The San Francisco 49ers are set to face the defending World Champion Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58 on Sunday February 11, and a former 49ers defensive player took a shot at Chiefs star QB Patrick Mahomes.
Former 49ers LB Bill Romanowski was previewing the upcoming Super Bowl on ‘95.7 The Game’ and had this to say about the Chiefs star.
“It is going to be a hard hitting football game but at the end of the day, I believe Mahomes is a crybaby and yes, he’s talented, but he is a big [expletive] crybaby and he drives me crazy,” he said.
Mahomes is widely regarded as the best QB in the NFL. He may be the best player that’s ever played the position when his career is over, but he is known to whine and complain for flags more than any player in the NFL.
Earlier this season, Mahomes was fined by the NFL for his actions against officials in a Chiefs loss to the Buffalo Bills.
In last year’s Super Bowl victory against the Philadelphia Eagles, Mahomes whined and lobbied for a ticky tack pass interference call and got it.
Romanowski though, may have poked the bear, he gave Mahomes bulletin board material. You never want to give a player like him any extra motivation.
