Florida’s Desmond Watson is a Massive Force

Written by Tony Ghaul

Florida DT Desmond Watson is making an impact for the Gator defense. He is a 6-foot-5, 415 pound mountain.

He enrolled at Florida last year at 440 pounds, but was listed at 400 by the time the season rolled around. He played in all 13 games, making seven tackles and a half-sack. Watson is big and strong. He puts up 560 pounds on the bench press.

Watson has become a social media sensation after tossing USF running back Brian Battie to the ground like a rag doll on a play during the second half. For comparison, that’s 5-foot-8, 165 pounds going up against 6-foot-5, 415 pounds.
