First Major League Pitcher Ejected in Foreign Substance Check

Well, we got our first. Hector Santiago was ejected today after his foreign substance check.

I believe this is a bad look for baseball, because you would almost want them to find nothing or find it all the time. They don’t want anything to be in the gray area of ejecting players. MLB doesn’t want anyone to feel like they’ve been singled out or ejected unfairly, because then they’ll have to answer on fairness or discrimination discussions.
