The NFL is in now officially in offseason mode, but the new Fan Controlled Football League (FCFL) is kicking off this weekend.
Available for streaming via Twitch, two games will be taking place tonight.
The league’s first games are the Glacier Boyz taking on the Wild Aces at 8 pm EST, and then it’s the Beasts versus the Zappers at 9.
For those wondering what the FCFL is, the new league is about letting the fans make football decisions while games are going on either on stream or on the Fan Controlled Football app. Those decisions include roster moves and calling plays on offense.
Notable team owners for the league include San Francisco 49ers defensive back Richard Sherman and Los Angeles running back Austin Ekeler, retired Super Bowl champion running back Marshawn Lynch, rapper Quavo, sports commentator/comedian Bob Menery and WNBA star Renee Montgomery.
Social media influencers Griffin Johnson and Josh Richards are also part of the new league as co-creative directors.
Good luck to the FCFL this year and hopefully it will be very successful in the near future.
