Fear No More: WARHORSE Gets TNT Championship Opportunity

At the very beginning of the pandemic, I started my Indie Highlight series. The second piece was focused on Jake Parnell, better known on the scene as “The WARHORSE.” The adrenaline of the Ultimate Warrior meets the common sense of Surfer Sting, meshed with everything great about David Coverdale, all while looking like Night Wolf from Mortal Kombat. He has some of the best work ethic in wrestling and by far the best character on the Independent Promotion. He can also go from bell-to-bell, thus he has since been crowned the IWTV Champion, or champion of Independent Wrestling, a belt he defends around the globe.

He defended over 25 times in a month before COVID 19 hit, a belt he is about to break the record for longest reign. The belt has been held by multiple AEW stars, including Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander. He is one of the top sellers on Pro Wrestling Tees, as well as having a major following on social media (Instagram and Twitter @JPWARHORSE) as well as a successful patreon. Nobody’s built a bigger groundswell on the Independent Scene in some time.

So, when Cody Rhodes announced that anybody from around the world could accept a shot at the TNT Championship, fans clamored for one man in particular: The WARHORSE. The hashtag of “CodyFearsWARHORSE” became a worldwide Twitter sensation immediately, and WARHORSE has continued to fuel the fire. Two weeks ago on AEW Road To Fight For The Fallen, Arn Anderson even name dropped WARHORSE.

The WARHORSE has become one of the biggest names in professional wrestling and he isn’t even signed to a major promotion. If this is your first time seeing him, you’re certainly in for a treat as you see the slickest elbow drop other than Kairi Sane in wrestling. He will soon become your favorite wrestler, much like has has mine.
