The Philadelphia Eagles have signed former Indianapolis Colts All-Pro LB Darius Shaquille Leonard, as per Ian Rapoport.

Leonard fills a much needed hole at the LB position. Rapoport reports that it’s a one-year deal.

Leonard visited the Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys last week. The Eagles face the Cowboys on Sunday Night in Dallas at 8:20 PM.

The Eagles backup LBs struggled mightily in the 42-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers yesterday. Leonard provides an immediate upgrade at the position.

The Eagles starting LBs Nakobe Dean and Zach Cunningham are out with injuries. Dean is currently on Injured Reserve.

Leonard can be plugged into the starting lineup and contribute right away. He has 65 total tackles, including 2 for loss, in nine games with the Colts this season.
