Philadelphia Eagles QB and MVP candidate Jalen Hurts is getting ready to lead his top seeded NFC team into the divisional round of the playoffs.

The Eagles host the New York Giants on Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field. Philadelphia had a bye week during Wild Card weekend, which gave Hurts further time to rest his injured shoulder.

Speaking to reporters ahead of this week’s big matchup, Hurts was discussing whether or not he’s worried if the Giants’ defenders will target his strained shoulder, to which he replied that he’s got a “bounty on him every week.”

“It’s football. I’ve got a bounty on me every week I go out there on the field,” Hurts told the media. “So, I’m going to go out there and just play my game and whatever happens, happens.”

Hurts does not mean for these comments to be taken literally, he just means teams go into games looking to shut down the opposition’s top players. Usually, the QB is a player that opponents must worry about.
