Eagles Make Roster Moves For Sunday’s Game

Written by Tony Ghaul

The Philadelphia Eagles have elevated WR Britain Covey and P Arryn Siposs from the practice squad for tomorrow’s game, as per team announcement.

The Eagles did not have a punter or a put returner on the active roster, so these moves were expected.

Siposs was in a competition with rookie Ty Zentner in the preseason, but both players were eventually released.

The Eagles signed Siposs to the practice squad. Siposs can be called up two more times before he would have to be put on the active roster.

Last season, Siposs 44 punts for 2,005 total yards for a 45.57 average. He had a poor punt in the Super Bowl, that set up a Kansas City Chiefs touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Eagles signed Britain Covey as a undrafted free agent in 2022. He was waived on August 30, 2022 and signed to the practice squad the next day. He was elevated to the active roster for their week one game.

Covey played in 17 games. He had 33 punt returns for 308 yards last season. Covey also returned 10 kicks for 206 yards.
