The Eagles moved up to the ninth pick in the draft to select Georgia DT Jalen Carter. This signaled that the Eagles were very comfortable with his character and did their due diligence when it comes to any perceived off-field issues.
Current Eagles linebacker and former Georgia standout Nakobe Dean made sure everyone knew how he felt about Carter.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Dean had some uplifting words for his former defensive teammate, calling Carter “the best player in the draft” this year, and adding “He wants to win. He’s going to do whatever it takes to win. He’s going to do whatever he needs for the team to win.”
Dean is excited about being able to play alongside the Carter once again. The Eagles feel they have their man and Dean agrees.
Eagles fans should feel confident that Carter is going to provide exactly what is needed to fortify an already strong defense.
